Calculate/Set Your Daily Calorie Requirments
There is currently two different ways that you can set your daily calorie requirements with our application.
You can use our BMR calculator to determine the approximate amount of daily calories that you require to meet your goals. Or you can manually set your daily requirements.
How To Calculate Your Daily Calories Required
The first step is to log into our application with your account. Then click on your username in the top right corner and click on Manage Account.
The required fields are within the black rectangle. These are the measurement system (pounds or kilograms, feet or meters), weight, height, gender, birthday, goal, and your activity level.
Once you have filled in this information, click on the button Calculate Required Calories.
Clicking Calculate Required Calories will have the application determine your BMR (Basal metabolic rate). We then use other mathematical equations to help bring in the approximate calories based off of your goals and activity level. The result will produce the approximate number of calories you should be eating daily to achieve your desired outcome.
To set this number with your daily food log make sure to click on the Update Button.
You should see a message Your Setting Have Been Successfully Updated.
Before hitting the Update button, you can manually adjust calories you need to eat daily.
To ensure you get the best results, you should be updating and recalculating your daily calories every time you lose 2-4 pounds.
If you notice after a week your weight is not progressing towards your goal, go back to this screen and manually alter the calories by 50 to 100 calories. Keep doing this until you find an offset that gets you to achieve your goals add or subtract that number every time you recalculate your required calories.
Information Tip
We will be adding an offset section, so you do not need to remember this amount. It will automatically alter your required calories based on the value you supply.
Your amount of daily calories required will integrate with your daily online food log. Every item you add to your food log will subtract from your daily calorie requirements to make tracking your daily calorie intake easy.
